Review: Does the trick! - I am so happy that I found this sling! I’m 10 days post op from surgery to repair tears in the rotator cuff and labrum and the removal of 3 bone spurs from the head of the humerus. I thought I’d be waking up in an immobilizer sling supplied by the hospital but I was sent home with a flimsy blue cotton sling that one would receive in the emergency room for a sprained arm. It was horribly too big and the strap fastened in the back so I couldn’t even take it off by myself (and I live alone!) Even the neck strap was uncomfortable! As soon as I was able, my daughter in law helped me search desertcart and we immediately placed an order. This fits great, very supportive and breathable and it is easy to put on by yourself no matter which arm is affected. In fact, I just ordered a 2nd sling since I will be in it approx 4-5 more weeks and now I can launder and rotate them. The split shoulder strap is a great design and very comfortable. **Q: how long is the strap (will it fit a short fat female?**
A: I'm a tall fluffy female and it will fit just fine. It's a great sling. I had a fractured shoulder and this was way better then the cheap from the ER!

**Q: what is the length of the sling from elbow to wrist?**
A: Elbow to wrist strap is 14.5".

**Q: what kind of fabric is it? synthetic? natural fiber?**
A: I'm not sure, but it was comfortable.  I don't think it was a natural fabric though.

**Q: female 5'1 125lbs. will the sling be small enough?**
A: I am a 5 foot 105 pound female and the sling was much too large for me.  I wish they provided more measurements. My elbow to knuckle measurement is about 12 inches and even with the straps tightened all the way my arm is not high enough. I don't tend to believe in"one-size-fits-all" and will have to return this.

Very good fit (for non-petite people), easily adjustable, and easy to put on by yourself with a little practice. The thumb straps help keep your arm stable and they prevent the arm from slipping out. The vertical adjustment strap is easy to use with your one good hand. The Velcro connector on the front which receives the vertical support strap is well designed and durable. The fabric of the sling is comfortable. I was able to use this sling easily during daytime activities, and was able to sleep with it as well. I highly recommend this sling. I will be ordering another one to put in our family med bag.

I purchased this shoulder sling while deailng with very bad and painful frozen shoulder of my dominant arm. I was SO impressed with this shoulder sling in every way! It was very easy to use, lightweight, easy to adjust, breathable, and comfortable to wear. It had excellent and effective shoulder padding and support. The material was comfortable and did not cause irritation or chafing. For the price, I consider this purchase a good value with a very reasonable price. I used it for several months, and the item held up very well, indicating that it is good quality and durable. I am a small/thin/petite woman with thin arms, so the arm sleeve portion was a bit baggy for me, but it was still very usable and comfortable. This also indicates that this item could be used by much larger and heavier people than myself. This shoulder sling was a great tool for me to use during the time I was dealing with the frozen shoulder condition at its worst, when I was most afflicted and to some degree, debilitated, by this condition. I would recommend it to anyone with frozen shoulder who needs to rest their shoulder by using a sling.
