Marriage's Dark Rye Flour 1kg - Pack of 6

Having followed The Perfect Loaf sourdough starter recipe, this flour was great at creating a starter from scratch and for regular maintenance. It also adds a lovely rich flavour to sourdough breads.

Very good quality flour but expiry date was quite short which is disappointing when you buy in bulk

Best before date is too close to purchase date. I will use it but this does the Marriage's brand no favours.

Received 6 bags on 24 Sep 23 with a BBE date of Dec 23. Shop bought flour that I already have is BBE Jul 24. No chance of using 6 Kg in 3 months.

Unfortunately every bag was filled with weevils which in turn got into anything that wasn’t in a container in my larder luckily most of my dry food is in airtight containers

This is the best rye flour on the market and I would not use anything else. Great value and taste.
