It offers great comfort and support with its thick foam, and I’ve found it much more reliable than inflatable pads—no worrying about leaks or having to inflate it. It provides great cushioning and keeps me insulated from the cold ground, so I get a better night’s sleep. The downside, though, is that it’s a bit bulky when packed. It takes up more space in our gear than I’d like, especially when we’re trying to keep our packs light and compact.
