## Overview

The RDS MFG INC 71083 is a 45-gallon rectangular auxiliary fuel tank crafted from rust-proof aluminum with fully welded seams for maximum durability. Designed for both gasoline and diesel fueling, it offers flexible installation options including an optional Diesel Install Kit for seamless integration with your vehicle’s OEM fuel system. Ideal for professionals and adventurers seeking extended range and reliable performance.

## Description

Most RDS transfer tanks also provide auxiliary fueling. RDS offers a full assortment of tanks in various capacities and dimensions to fit your needs. Auxiliary tanks connect to your vehicle’s fuel tank. Diesel fuel can “gravity feed” from the bottom of your RDS tank. An optional Diesel Install Kit contains the necessary items to economically and easily connect your RDS tank to your OEM fuel tank. Gasoline auxiliary fueling is allowed, if siphoned from the top of the tank by using an electric fuel pump.

Review: Looks great, solid and easy install! - Perfect for my 2016 Ram 3500, went with the 45 gallon plus install kit and in total it was under two hours to complete it. Wish I had gone with the 60 gallon though because I'm 40 miles shy of complete round trip to the dunes and back with no stops. Quality is top notch and the billet fuel cap is great! It does sit just just above my bed rails but not a big deal for me.
Review: It is easy installation - It was an easy fit. It has saved me money on having less stops and high price gas stations

It was an easy fit. It has saved me money on having less stops and high price gas stations

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good tank
*by D***N on June 15, 2014*

Got the tank and it is just what I wanted for 5th wheel towing out west. Fits in my long bed Dodge fine, I had trouble getting a screw into the passenger side tab because of the tight fit, but it is plenty secure with a chest tool box anchored just behind it. I am on my first fill up and it took about 40 gallons, within 2 inches of the top. No instructions, but good help on the phone. Used the RDS diesel install kit to hook up to the truck. This was not to hard to do, cutting the fill tube took a stout knife, but the rest was pretty easy. Very happy with the tank. It peaks above the rails of the pu (2009 2500) a couple of inches which is ok but I can easily see over it to hitch up the trailer.
