A wider wire range lets three R/Y+ connectors handle the work of eight standard connectors, with a wire range of No. 22 through No. 8 AWG solid and stranded copper conductors. These flame-resistant connectors are UL Listed as a pressure wire connector and meet CSA Standard C22.2 No. 188-M1983, making 3M Performance Plus Wire Connectors as easy to use as they are dependable for electrical cable applications. 3M Performance Plus Wire Connectors Because of their increased wire range, just three 3M Performance Plus Wire Connectors handle the work of eight standard connectors. O/B+ replaces the orange, blue and gray wire connector style connectors, as well as 70% of the yellow wire connector and wing style connectors. R/Y+ replaces both red and yellow wing style connectors. B/G+ covers both the large blue and gray connectors. This simplifies selection of the right connector for a wide range of wiring jobs. There’s also less inventory to manage, and a better chance you’ll have the connector you need to do every job. A Better Bite for a Better Connection. 3M Performance Plus Wire Connectors O/B+, R/Y+ and B/G+ now have a better bite. Wires feed into the connector more easily, improving the security of the connection and increasing the level of pull out. New Design Allows Easier Installation. We have modified the internal design of the O/B+, R/Y+ and B/G+ wire connectors. Installation is smooth, fast and easy on the hands. Flexible Skirts Provide Safety. The flexible skirts on the O/B+, R/Y+ and B/G+ wire connectors make the workplace a safer environment. The flexible skirt provides protection against potential shock situations. ## Features - CERTIFIED CONNECTOR: UL 486C Listed and CSA 22.2 Certified as a pressure wire connector - FLEXIBLE SPRING: Provides expansion room for use with a wider wire range--22-8 AWG solid and stranded copper conductors - STRONG AND SECURE: Delivers a powerful grip to ensure a reliable connection - FLAMMABILITY RATING: UL94 V-2 flammability rating - WIRE RANGE: 22-8 AWG for solid and/or stranded copper conductors ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0080404VS | | Best Sellers Rank | #110,764 in Industrial & Scientific ( See Top 100 in Industrial & Scientific ) #49 in IDC Electrical Terminals #24,708 in Electrical Equipment | | Brand Name | 3M | | Color | Red/Yellow | | Connector Gender | Male | | Connector Type | Twist | | Contact Material | Copper | | Customer Reviews | 4.9 4.9 out of 5 stars (180) | | Included Components | WIRE CONNECTOR | | Insulation Material Type | Polyvinyl Chloride | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 20"L x 20"W x 30.5"H | | Item Highlight | Red/Yellow, Flexible Steel Spring Connectors, Copper, CSA Certified, UL Listed | | Item Weight | 4 pounds | | Manufacturer | 3M | | Material Type | Copper | | Maximum Voltage | 1000 volts | | Model | 80611454515 | | Number of Items | 500 | | Part Number | R/Y+JUG | | Specification Met | CSA, UL | | Stud Size | 6 AWG | | Temperature Rating | 221 F | | Terminal | Twist-on Terminal | | UPC | 696333946971 | | Unit Count | 500 Count | | Wire Diameter | 0.71 millimeters | ## Product Details - **Color:** Red/Yellow - **Connector Type:** Twist - **Contact Material:** Copper - **Insulation Material:** Polyvinyl Chloride - **Terminal:** Twist-on Terminal ## Images ![3M Performance Plus Wire Connector, R/Y+JUG, 22-8 AWG, Jug of 500 - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31r651zNKhL.jpg) ![3M Performance Plus Wire Connector, R/Y+JUG, 22-8 AWG, Jug of 500 - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41wzQcoc4xL.jpg) ![3M Performance Plus Wire Connector, R/Y+JUG, 22-8 AWG, Jug of 500 - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31ayV8dElWL.jpg) ![3M Performance Plus Wire Connector, R/Y+JUG, 22-8 AWG, Jug of 500 - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41J9T9BUlqL.jpg) ![3M Performance Plus Wire Connector, R/Y+JUG, 22-8 AWG, Jug of 500 - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51jOS2hK6mL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Pattern** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: the description in one spot says jug of 500 while another says # of items is 4000. Is it 500 or 4000 for the $51.31?** A: It is 500 Red/Yellow wirenuts great for #12 Thhn or even a couple #10s **Q: Is it 4000 or 500 wire nuts? Title is a little misleading** A: They have a bag, a jug, and a keg. The jug is 500, and the keg is 17,000. The keg really gets the cost per piece down, but that's a lot of wire nuts. **Q: How much is the weight?** A: I never paid any attention to the weight. I love these dual sized (yellow wire nut + red wire nut) wire nuts. They simplify things tremendously. **Q: Is this nuts big enough to use with high hats! Thanks** A: No it's way too small. These are only for joining wire together, not threading onto a cymbal stands. A giant version of this might look pretty cool though. ## Frequently Bought Together - 3M Performance Plus Wire Connector R/Y+JUG, Red/Yellow, Flexible Steel Spring Connectors, Copper, CSA Certified, UL Listed, Jug of 500, 22-8 AWG - 3M Performance Plus Wire Connector, O/B+JUG, Orange/Blue, Flexible Steel Spring Connectors, Twist On, CSA Certified, UL Listed, Jug of 500, 22-12 AWG - 3M Performance Plus Wire Connector T/R+JUG, Tan/Red, Flexible Steel Spring Connectors, Smooth, Comfortable Feel, Copper, CSA Certified, UL Listed, Jug of 750, 22-8 AWG --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.eg/products/26603047-3m-performance-plus-wire-connector-r-y-jug-22-8](https://www.desertcart.com.eg/products/26603047-3m-performance-plus-wire-connector-r-y-jug-22-8) --- *Product available on Desertcart Egypt* *Store origin: EG* *Last updated: 2026-10-05*
