Especially while sleeping. I have tried many of the ultra soft pillows, including those from the Wenersi brand that were supposed to be the holy grail. All compressed too much and became hard after a short time. This would trigger immense pain and would seriously disrupt my nights.These pillows are far more affordable and perform much better. They provide all the cushioning needed to cradle my face throughout the night, no adjusting needed (!!!). Since using them, I no longer wake up with face and jaw pain. Finally getting decent sleep!Update: I first bought a Queen pillow and it eventually condensed a bit. So it is not as soft as it was initially. The King size version is much softer from the start, however, and does not appear to condense like the smaller Queen sized pillows do.
