This is written by a clear expert, but the author has no concept of writing for an audience of people who are not comfortable or familiar with the subject. I’m a straight A student and I typically excel at writing and language, but this was some of the most difficult reading I’ve ever had to do for a class. It was absolutely brutal. Textbooks used in undergrad classes should be written so that the average student has a clue as to what’s being discussed. I bought the digital version, but if I had a hard copy I’d burn it. I’ve never said that about a book before.
