It works fine. I used 1,200 grit on the surface of the paint, then cleaned surface to be coated with isopropyl alcohol. I waited about week after paint before applying the clear coat. **Q: Is this stuff Urathane? Epoxy or Enamel?** A: It's a 2k urethane clearcoat. It is compatible with enamels so long you apply it within 1 hour of the enamel top coat or after it has completely cured which can take weeks/months. If you clear coat on top of enamel that hasn't fully cured, it will wrinkle. I've always sprayed 2k urethane clear coat within 30-40 minutes after applying the last top coat. Never had an issue with wrinkling. **Q: Is there a time limit the moment you press the tab in the bottom?** A: After your first coat, put the can in the freezer which can extend the working life by several days. Allow the can to warm up to room temperature before spraying the next coat. One user here was able to extend the working life of a can up to about a month by doing this. Otherwise at 68-degrees, the mfr says the can will go stale after 48hrs and no longer work properly. **Q: How would this stuff work for wood finishing?** A: I used this on 2 guitars and bought guitars clear coat separated from the body. Stuff works good other then that. I'm not to sure if thas my error though. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ GREAT PRODUCT *by on Reviewed in the United States February 13, 2026* The High Gloss Clearcoat Aerosol delivers a deep, glossy finish that looks like a professional paint job. Great coverage. *by on Reviewed in the United States October 8, 2026* Amazing. I have a beater truck that the paint came off the hood so I primed and spray painted and then added this clear - looks amazing. This stuff sprayed like a dream. Could not be happier. It is super shiny, does not orange peel. And just flowed and laid out like nothing I have used before. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worth the price! *by on Reviewed in the United States October 15, 2026* Very easy to use and left an amazing finish. I’m no professional in painting but after watching a few tictoks, I decided to sand, wet sand and spray a set of headlights with this 2k clear. They came out great. This spray does give off some odor so please use it in a well-ventilated area. The sprayer gave off consistent spray for a small project like mine. No drip but be cautious of over spraying anything around the part you are painting (as you would in any instance). After spraying 2 headlights with 3 coats I was left with about half a can. 5 stars. Attached is the before and after. ## Frequently Bought Together - Spray max USC 2k High Gloss Clearcoat Aerosol - Dupli-Color FP101 Scratch Filler Primer, Gray – 11 oz.
