But they were generous with 12V outlets. This is a great map-reading/glove-compartment-searching/looking-for-something-in-my-bag light. The neck is long and very flexible, the light is bright (and no batteries to replace), the on/off switch is convenient and operates easily. As one poster noted, the plug is a bit of a tight fit, but it also won't come loose, either. You can plug it in, bend the head down out of the way, and it's always ready to use. Or unplug it and store it in the glove compartment (it doesn't take up much room). We're already liking this more than we thought we would. Review: It's a nice bright light. Previous problem fixed - The previous version I bought allowed the gooseneck to swivel at the connector. That became loose and I tried to use glue to solidify it at the connector. The glue ran inside the connector, shorted it out, and drained my battery. So I ordered the loctite epoxy putty to use instead of glue, and then bought another of the lights. Lo and behold, the manufacturers installed a rigid connection of the gooseneck at the connector in the new light, so no need for the putty. Light works great. I shine it onto the speedometer in my car dashboard ( non digital ) which is very hard to read in bright sunlight. Just what I was looking for, a simple map light with an on/off switch. Certainly a handy item to have during night driving. The 360-degree swiveling head is a nice touch to the design as well. My car doesn't have a light inside the glovebox, so this helps solve that issue too!
