Sturdy mic stand better than most
If you are looking for a sturdy, professional-looking mic stand of this type and in this price range, this is absolutely it. I bought it as a replacement for a NEEWER-brand mic stand. This feels much more sturdily built and I expect it to last for a while. The springs are very strong, so much in fact that if you need to extend the arm more than 90 degrees or so, it may not hold the position and will bounce back. But this is not an issue for me because I've clamped it on the end of the desk closest to my body.

Good but not great
Overall is is a good mic stand however it wants to spring back away and there isn't a way to tighten it enough to stay put. I fixed this by using some of the packing material as a stop. For the price it has been helpful and is a good, but not great product.

Suffiecent but not amazing
First off, I have had several mic stands, mounts, etc. I have a few more professional ones for my music production but I decided to get a cheap mount for a mic for work from home activities. I didnt need anything special, jut something to keep all the teleconferencing interesting.I purchased another cheap articulating mount and it was ok but broke after about 2-3 months of use. Thinking I didnt need a 150 mount I went with this.First immediate impressions were that this was much better built and far sturdier BUT I had to do a few things to really make it work.First, all of the bolts at the joints were a bit loose for my liking. That was an easy fix but you do need a small socket or a crescent wrench. Then I noticed that the actual mount for the desk would wobble. I really tightened it down and it would wobble after a day or two. I would tighten again hard enough to bend the lever a bit. IT would still wobble. I took it off and I realized that the flaw was in the wring and screw. The screw actually drove into the wood on the bottom of my desk and because the ring edge was lower.I eventually just grabbed a piece of door hardware that I had laying around. This acted as a spacer between the ring and the desk. FAR more sturdy now. Ill likely add some epoxy to make it strong.the TLDR: its ok, mechanism is sturdy, mount is not. Will be ok in a pinch. A little ingenuity makes it better. Ill probably just drop the money on a more professional item at some point
