Machining and finish are good for the price, screws torque smoothly (25–30 in-lb base, 15 in-lb caps), and they hold zero well on mild-to-moderate recoil rifles. Lightweight 6061-T6 works for general hunting, but Vortex does not recommend this Hunter line for heavy recoil—step up to Pro Series or a one-piece mount if you run magnums or abuse gear.
