Review: Worth it and surprised - For the price I was like it just temp ones I got 2 rears 6x9 and was pretty surprise bass is alright but I’m getting the door speakers and stuff first before doing the subs might just buy the 6.5 door speakers Was going with skar but for the price these are good Wasn’t even up all the way would say like 80% up
Review: Nice upgrade from factory - I bought the Recoil 8" sub to replace the blown factory sub in my 04 4runner. I was so impressed with the quality, that I bought these 6x9's to replace the failing front door speakers. The factory JBL speakers are component in the front door. I simply removed the factory speaker and crossover and installed these. The factory speakers are 2ohm and these are 3ish. It's hard to find 2ohm 6x9's that don't break the bank. I was worried these may be a little quiet based on the slightly higher ohm rating. Once I got them hooked up, I found that they were sufficiently loud and sounded great. It has great bass as well as quality mid and treble. It's just a good sounding speaker. I think I will end up buying the 6.5's to replace the rear door speakers as well. I'm just really impressed with the quality and value of Recoil.
