This is the perfect replacement. Pop out the old, worn, yucky, guard and pop this one in place with ease. It's a good weight - sturdy without being hard. It drains well with no problem of food debris getting caught. When the sink is cleaned simply lift the guard out and give it a good wash with hot soapy water to avoid dirt and grease buildup.
