Note improvement not shown: a small mic has been added to the back and a switch to choose the mic and RCA as the input. The light can be changed to different brightness by pressing the powered button while it's turned on. Calibration: the gain knob can be used to adjust the sensitivity of the needles. (Doesn't affect sound, the input is output with no interference). I have the main out from a DJ mixer running through it. I adjusted the gain so the needle reading matches the LED scale on the mixer. The gauges themselves are smaller than you may expect, however given that any other option starts at about $200 this is great value.
