Now, in North of Nowhere , he returns to Michigan's Upper Peninsula, where former Detroit cop Alex McKnight has learned that wherever money goes, envy isn't far behind. After a game of cards turns into a professional heist, Alex McKnight finds himself lying facedown on the floor with a gun to the back of his head. When the dust settles, McKnight is one of the police chief's lead suspects. Worse, one of the other card players has the same idea, and he has no qualms about exercising some vigilante justice of his own. Now, Alex knows he is the only one who can uncover the truth. But he's about to discover how dark this conspiracy truly is--or how close to guilt he actually stands. . . . Review: Satisfied customer - Item arrived on time and as described Review: ## Features - Item Trademark: MINOTAUR BOOKS - manufacturer: Minotaur Books - Item Weight: pounds, pounds, 0.53, 0.53 ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 120 Reviews | ## Images ![North of Nowhere - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81oQHZ4EtwL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Satisfied customer *by Z***R on 9 February 2017* Item arrived on time and as described ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ いつものアレックス *by C***T on 25 July 2003* 今までに起こった事件が原因で、アレックスは自分のキャビンに引きこもるようになってしまう。 ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Another reluctant and flawed PI Novel *by S***T on 28 September 2020* Yes, we've all read this genre before: the ex-cop who wants to be left alone, drinks a bit too much, who in spite of himself always want to do the right thing. That said, this book is better than most. Good writing, good plot, good characters. The denouement was a bit forced but not completely unbelievable. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.eg/products/395769953-north-of-nowhere](https://www.desertcart.com.eg/products/395769953-north-of-nowhere) --- *Product available on Desertcart Egypt* *Store origin: EG* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
