These aren't going to replace your tinned clams that you eat straight out of the can, but these are perfect for pasta, clam chowder, etc. I will be buying these again, I wish they had a bit more flavor but for the cost there's no beating this. The taste is phenomenal in clam chowder. Don't buy this to use for the clams though because you get way more liquid than clams. I've successfully frozen half a can (transferred to a freezer bag) when I haven't wanted to use a full can, and that's a big plus. The large size can keeps the per-ounce cost well below the clams that are regularly available in the stores, so that's another big plus. This is a kitchen staple for me, and I won't be buying the smaller, more expensive and less flavorful cans any more.
