Review: Snow Tested - I treated my Lowa nubuck boots with this cream. The nubuck behaved as described by Nikwax and went from the soft nubuck texture to a more traditional smooth leather and darkened a fair amount. I am happy with how it turned out, but the look did change moderately. Don't use this on nubuck if you want that soft feel or don't want the color darker. This stuff is runnier than I expected. It's like a watered down lotion in texture (not that this is watered down). It keeps its consistency when applying, so that helps. It rubs in easily except around seams, which took some more work. A little goes a long ways. I've treated my boots twice and don't feel like I've used much of the tube. I squeezed some onto the middle of a leather area and used a cloth to spread it around and rub it in. It quickly disappears into the leather and leaves it moist and rich looking. With all the snow in the midwest recently I really had the chance to test this stuff out for waterproofing. I shoveled snow for a couple hours in my boots and they didn't even look very wet. I definitely had no moisture issues inside the boots. When I came in they looked very clean. I went ahead and treated them again, but didn't feel I really needed to. I've used them in the snow a couple other times as well and had similarly great results. I am happy with this cream in all aspects. The only negative is the runny consistency makes it harder to apply cleanly. I had some drips from the tube or where I had excess while applying. It cleans up easily and doesn't feel greasy, but a thicker cream would have felt a bit nicer.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Water Proofer

Easy to apply! The application sponge head works well but I found that using my fingers allowed me to get the wax into smaller crevices and work it into the seems and stitching a little better. I probably used a little more wax than I should have because the leather soaked up a lot at first but became saturated and wouldn't accept the last bit I put on. I removed the initial excess about 10 minutes later using a shoe brush and removed the final dry excess the next day. A few days later I took my boots (Schnee Beartooth) on a side by side ride where we had to go across a creek. Water came into the cab a couple inches and my feet stayed absolutely dry, despite the wet exterior of the boots. Water beaded off the leather and fell away. I gave four stars because the wax definitely darkened the leather. I knew this was going to happen and the label in the bottle says this may happen. It also turns roughened leather to a more flattened polished type surface. Good this is the leather still looks nice and can be buffed after the wax drys.
