Weighing in at only 3.9 pounds, the new cap stapler is 20-Percent lighter than the existing model. The tool's weight is complemented by an over-molded grip to help extend reach as well as maximize comfort and minimize fatigue. Moreover, this tool features a rear exhaust to prevent blowback in the face of the user. The new cap stapler features an oversized foot on the triggering system to help compensate for uneven building surfaces, as well as provide a sequential/contact/off trigger selection. It also allows for an adjustable depth of drive which sets staples at desired depths quickly and easily. I purchased this cap stapler to do a FC siding job, so it's been used on a bit of felt and a lot of Hardie-wrap, and it was definitely money well-spent. The tool is easy to load with both caps and staples, and locks when the staples are out. The depth adjustment does a decent job of minimizing missed caps, and the cap feeder is 99.5% effective. Approximately. :-) The tool is a bit bulky, but that likely unavoidable. It is very light and provides a good grip. And, especially considering the alternatives, it is very fast. I wouldn't break it out for a very small job, but as soon as it's past 100 sf or so, this is the right tool. Great tool. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Don't overpower it *by J***S on October 29, 2022* Bostitch instructions say don't connect to a source greater that 100PSI. They aren't kidding. When I first started using it I had numerous failures where the staples were placed but the caps fell to the ground. On examination I found that the staple bridge was being driven completely through the cap.
