If you haven't, nano tape is self-adhesive tape that works on smooth surfaces, and can be removed without leaving a mark. The smoother and less absorbent the surface, the better the tape sticks. So for sticking to glass and smooth plastic and smooth gloss painted wood, these clips are perfect. For fabric, bare wood, stone or other surfaces, nano tape is not so good. As you can see in the pics I've uploaded, you can cleanly remove the adhesive from the clip without leaving a mess, but the adhesive does stick strongly to smooth surfaces, and needs peeling and stretching to remove. For guiding dash-cam wires around the edge of your windscreen, which is what I bought these clips for, these clips are perfect. If I ever need to remove them, I can remove them without leaving a mark on my windscreen.
