Made in Vermont, USA, this lead-free, food-safe ceramic glaze combines professional-grade quality with sustainable manufacturing and a lifetime warranty, while supporting arts education through charitable giving. ## Description Candy Apple Red is a vivid, glossy glaze from our Celadon Series, formulated for mid-fire kilns at Cone 5-6. Its semi-translucent quality lets the clay body peek through in places, so the red deepens beautifully over texture, carving and edges. Brush it on straight from the jar for smooth, even coverage, or layer it with other glazes in the series to explore new effects. A striking choice for potters and teachers looking to add a lively, saturated color to stoneware and ceramics. ## Features - COLOR PROFILE - Candy Apple Red is a glossy glaze with a bold, saturated red hue and smooth surface. Subtle tonal variations add depth, ranging from bright cherry to slightly darker crimson areas. The high-gloss finish enhances its rich color and gives it a vibrant, eye-catching look. - CONE 5–6 MID-FIRE - Formulated for mid-fire kilns at cone 5 and cone 6 (about 2167–2232°F). Always fire in a calibrated pottery kiln, never a kitchen oven, so your results match the swatch. - GLOSSY, SEMI-TRANSLUCENT FINISH - Fires to a glossy shine that lets some of the clay body show through, so color deepens where the glaze pools over edges, carving and texture. - READY TO BRUSH & BLEND - Ready to brush straight from the jar. Blend with colors in the same series to make new glaze colors, or layer it with other glazes for new effects. - ART MATERIAL - Conforms to ASTM D-4236 art materials standard. Suitable for surfaces that come into contact with food or drink when fired to the specified cone on the product label. Crazing, pinholing or blistering makes a surface unsuitable; test your own clay and firing. - CONSCIENTIOUSLY MANUFACTURED - At Penguin Pottery, our core values are simple: manufacture responsibly in the USA, craft exceptional products, and support the pottery community by donating 1% of our sales to school programs, community centers, and disaster relief for artists. - LIFETIME WARRANTY - Penguin Pottery products are backed by our Lifetime Warranty. If you have any issues, we will give you a refund or replace your product. See warranty & support section for more information. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B09X614HWX | | Brand | Penguin Pottery | | Color | Candy Apple Red | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars (242) | | Date First Available | 24 April 2022 | | Item Weight | 730 g | | Material | Liquid ceramic glaze. | | Model Number | PP-GZ-MH-269 | | Product Dimensions | 8.89 x 8.89 x 10.16 cm; 730 g | ## Images ![Celadon Series - Candy Apple Red - Mid Fire Glaze, High Fire Glaze, Cone 5-6 for Mid Fire Clay, High Fire Clay - Ceramic Glaze Pottery (1 Pint | 16 oz | 473 ml) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61Q8Ew+ggEL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color** options. ## Frequently Bought Together - Penguin Pottery - Celadon Series - Candy Apple Red - Mid Fire Glaze, High Fire Glaze, Cone 5-6 for Mid Fire Clay, High Fire Clay - Ceramic Glaze Pottery (1 Pint | 16 oz | 473 ml) - Penguin Pottery - Specialty Series - EnchantMint - Mid Fire Glaze, High Fire Glaze, Cone 6 for Mid Fire Clay - Ceramic Glaze Pottery (1 Pint | 16 oz | 473 ml) - Penguin Pottery - Opaque Series - Lilac - Mid Fire Glaze, High Fire Glaze, Cone 5-6 for Mid Fire Clay, High Fire Clay - Ceramic Glaze Pottery (1 Pint | 16 oz | 473 ml) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.eg/products/434398156-celadon-series-candy-apple-red-mid-fire-glaze-high-fire](https://www.desertcart.com.eg/products/434398156-celadon-series-candy-apple-red-mid-fire-glaze-high-fire) --- *Product available on Desertcart Egypt* *Store origin: EG* *Last updated: 2026-10-29*
