I returned it and got another one back and it works perfectly fine. The software is pretty good and all the led features work and it also works with signal rgb which is a huge advantage, but you do have to disable the glorius software first. I got gatreon brown linear switches and it is very quite, and has a very nice feel to it. The noise level is perfect for my needs and is not picked up by any mics. I did buy the Barebones, which was a pretty good price. the keycaps I got with it are https://www.desertcart.com/dp/B0D541DJWW/?coliid=I20UVEF1S9QNY6&colid=8IWVDSFIR9KI&ref_=list_c_wl_lv_ov_lig_dp_it&th=1 note this is not an affiliates link. They are fully compatible with this keyboard. Review: North facing but still great keyboard - I have nothing mew to add here, it's a wonderful keyboard with so so software The sockets are north facing so I used non cherry keycaps and everything works just great. Very recommended ## Features - Premium design and durability: The GMMK 2 Compact (65%) features an aluminum top shell, which makes the keyboard super durable and gives it maximum rigidity. The substantial weight and grippy rubber feet, mean it doesn't move on your desk while you game. Anodization of the aluminum gives the keyboard an impressive resistance to scratches and corrosion, and the fine brushing of the exterior creates a matte metallic finish that is smooth to the touch. - Custom Compact Layout: With the GMMK 2 Compact (65%) you don't have to sacrifice your dedicated arrow or navigation keys for a small form factor. We've packed the best of a TKL keyboard (75%) in a form factor that is almost the size of a Mini keyboard (60%). Save valuable keyboard space without losing important functionality. - Swappable mechanical switches & keycaps: The GMMK 2 Compact (65%) hotswap sockets are specially designed for easy installation of any 5-pin switches. Easily install mechanical switches from Glorious, Cherry, Kailh, Gateron, Glorious Panda Switches and more. No soldering required, creating the ultimate TKL gaming keyboard. - Superior Sound: The pre-installed stabilizers are lubricated for a smooth and consistent press without rattle. Screw-in stabilizer mounts are available for modders wanting to use their own. Thick interior keyboard foam acts as a dampener to eliminate case ping. The GMMK 2 Compact (65%) is a hot swappable mechanical keyboard with great sound. - Included Components: GMMK 2 Compact (65%) Barebone Frame, 2M Black Braided USB-C Cable, Switch Puller, Keycap puller, 1 x Novelty ESC Key. - Keyboard layout: American QWERTY ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B09YZ3WTZ8 | | Additional Features | 5-Pin Hot Swap Support | | Antenna Location | Gaming | | Best Sellers Rank | #9,279 in Video Games ( See Top 100 in Video Games ) #677 in PC Gaming Keyboards | | Brand | GLORIOUS | | Built-In Media | GMMK 2 Compact (65%) Barebone Frame, 2M Black Braided USB-C Cable, Switch Puller, Keycap puller, 1 x Novelty ESC Key | | Button Quantity | 67 | | Color | Black | | Compatible Devices | Desktop, Laptop, PS4, PS5, Xbox | | Compatible Operating System Family | Linux, MacOS, Windows | | Connectivity Technology | USB-C | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 164 Reviews | | Enclosure Material | Aluminum | | External Testing Certification | Não aplicável | | Generation | 1st Generation | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00810069974996, 00850005352761 | | Hand Orientation | Ambidextrous | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 12.3"L x 4.1"W x 1.5"H | | Item Type Name | Gaming Keyboard | | Item Weight | 1.9 pounds | | Keyboard Backlighting Color Support | RGB | | Keyboard Description | Gaming | | Keyboard Layout | QWERTY | | Keyboard Plate Material | Aluminum | | Manufacturer | Glorious PC Gaming Race | | Mfr Part Number | GLO-GMMK2-65-RGB-B | | Model Name | Glorious GMMK2 Compact Barebones ANSI - Black | | Model Number | GLO-GMMK2-65-RGB-B | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Keys | 67 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Number of Sections | 6 | | Power Source | USB | | Processor Count | 1 | | Recommended Uses For Product | Gaming | | Special Feature | 5-Pin Hot Swap Support | | Style Name | Black | | Switch Type | Linear, Tactile, Clicky | | Theme | gaming | | UPC | 850005352761 810069974996 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Warranty Description | 2 Year Limited Manufacturer | ## Product Details - **Brand:** GLORIOUS - **Color:** White - **Compatible Devices:** Desktop, Laptop, PS4, PS5, Xbox - **Connectivity Technology:** USB-C - **Keyboard Description:** Gaming - **Keyboard backlighting color support:** RGB - **Product Dimensions:** 14.8"L x 4.9"W x 1.5"H - **Recommended Uses For Product:** Gaming - **Special Feature:** 5-Pin Hot Swap Support - **Style:** Modern Minimalist ## Images ![GLORIOUS Gaming GMMK 2 Compact 65% Barebones (Frame Only) - Mechanical Gaming Keyboard Frame, Compact TKL Size (65%), Aluminium, Customisable, Per Key RGB, American QWERTY Layout - Black - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71HhS0EZTUL.jpg) ![GLORIOUS Gaming GMMK 2 Compact 65% Barebones (Frame Only) - Mechanical Gaming Keyboard Frame, Compact TKL Size (65%), Aluminium, Customisable, Per Key RGB, American QWERTY Layout - Black - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71nm3Xt56PL.jpg) ![GLORIOUS Gaming GMMK 2 Compact 65% Barebones (Frame Only) - Mechanical Gaming Keyboard Frame, Compact TKL Size (65%), Aluminium, Customisable, Per Key RGB, American QWERTY Layout - Black - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61woTKGEtoL.jpg) ![GLORIOUS Gaming GMMK 2 Compact 65% Barebones (Frame Only) - Mechanical Gaming Keyboard Frame, Compact TKL Size (65%), Aluminium, Customisable, Per Key RGB, American QWERTY Layout - Black - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/618hshtct5L.jpg) ![GLORIOUS Gaming GMMK 2 Compact 65% Barebones (Frame Only) - Mechanical Gaming Keyboard Frame, Compact TKL Size (65%), Aluminium, Customisable, Per Key RGB, American QWERTY Layout - Black - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71n6I2i8ktL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Can you use ASA profile key caps on this board?** A: While we cannot test all third party keycaps, you should be able to use ASA profile keycaps on the GMMK 2. **Q: Will XDA profile keycaps fit on this keyboard?** A: Yes, the GMMK 2 can use XDA profile keycaps. **Q: Question do I need to buy stabilizers? Very recommended ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Will always buy GMMK frames! All you need to buy are switches and keycaps. *by Z***D on August 26, 2026* Looks great, they include everything you need for a hotswappable keyboard. (EXCLUDING KEYCAPS & SWITCHES) But with this purchase, all you need to worry about are your keycaps and switchs. VERY solid and does not move around at all during play. This is my second GMMK frame for my custom keyboards. I will not stop buying them in the foreseeable future. I would however prefer some more natural options (e,g, walnut). That is the only reason why I;d shop around.
