The good news is this OTC medicine works very well if you don't have an allergy to NSAID. It got rid of the uncomfortable and burning sensation you feel downstairs. I noticed a UTI coming on on a Friday and I needed some relief before I can see a doctor on Monday. It has the antibiotic methenamine listed but I do not think it is strong enough to kill off the infection. It only keeps the infection at bay. This is a good product to take when you are waiting on a doctors appointment but DO NOT rely on this to kill the infection.
