This was a gift for my son who requested this knife roll to protect his knives through moves and transfers. After reading reviews and checking price comparisons, this particular model seemed to be just what he wanted. It arrived very quickly and was nicely packaged fitting snugly into a box. When the box was opened the knife roll was in a protective draw string bag. When removed from the bag, there was a faint, nice aroma of leather. Hardware was gun metal quality contributing to the durability, safety, and excellence of the roll. The leather straps and carry handle were beautifully made and had multiple belt like fasteners allowing for customization as more knives are added. There is also a shoulder strap allowing for options and ease of carrying. When unrolled the dimensions matched those given in the ad; there were multiple slots for kitchen knives. There were slots for 10 knives, three small implements, and an approximately 5x3 leather zippered pocket. All of his knives fit nicely in the slots with the handles held securely in the pocket while the elastic band stabilized the blades. The heavily waxed canvas was sturdy and substantial offering considerable protection from both moisture and trauma for the implements it would house. This heavy duty, serviceable carrier is total quality with an added element of gracefulness in its craftsmanship reflecting pride of construction. Great knife bag, very sturdy and durable but it was hard to insert my knives into the slots so it will take time to break it in. Fabric of the bag is amazing, I don't think my knives will be penetrating the bag causing holes. Very stylish I just wish that there was a bit more pockets for items. All in all Great bang for your buck

After using this for over a year I can give it an honest review. At first it seemed a bit tight fitting. It just starts out that way. It slowly stretched. Very rugged and durable!

When I first opened this item I was impressed by the sturdiness and quality of the item, however when I started to load my knives into it I found it to be very stiff and hard to use. I am sure since it is canvas that it will mellow with use and will be much more flexible. I think overall I will be happy with it. My only criticism would be that there is not a slot big enough for my large cleaver. Also while there seems to be enough spacing I am still going to purchase a set of blade covers to keep my knives from hitting each other.

This thing is fantastic. I actually got it for my wood chisels. It holds 10 of them just fine. It’s a little stiff, but that’s okay.

Poorly designed, the quality of the time seemed pretty good but once I tried to load it with my knives, firstly the knife pockets were so small I couldn’t even properly fit a small petty knife in them. I tried to make the best of it and use it was a utility roll, but once I loaded it up I couldn’t get the buckles to tighten enough to close.

At first I was frustrated, like some of the other reviews on here. Afterwards I realized this was very tight and hard to move, because it’s brand new. It only took a few minutes for me to wiggle my knives around in each slot to loosen them up a bit. It was a struggle getting the straps off to open it, but with each use it loosens up. Kind of like a new catchers mitt, it just needed to be broken in. I love this thing! It looks awesome, and it protects my very well. Glad i bought this.

Looks well made, but the inside pockets are so narrow and stiff that I couldn't get my knives into them. After finally working as many knives as I could into the slots (which was about half of what my old kit could hold) I couldn't get it closed. Basically, it looks great but, if you want to get some use out of it, this isn't the bag for you.
