Simply Works
(Update after 3 months of use: The mouse has performed amazingly. It is a joy to use and travels well with my MacBook. I bought this in November and have used it every day. Now (February), I finally get the low battery indicator. The batteries lasted a very long time (and I do not shut the mouse down often. If you have a MacBook, this mouse is a great addition to it. You won't be sorry.)* * *I just got my white MacBook today and connected the Logitech V470 to it. After a few minutes of mousing around, the computer for some reason lost the connection. I suspect it was my fault as I was messing with the preferences trying to learn Apple Mac OS X Version 10.5 Leopard's features. I re-attached it and since then it has not given me any problems. The computer sleeps and wakes up and the mouse just works almost instantly. It is smooth and works well. The mouse design fits the white MacBook perfectly. I have large hands and even though this mouse is smaller than a standard mouse, the fit is comfortable. It is amazing not to have cords or dongles cluttering your desktop. I highly recommend it. Given the horrible reviews of the Logitech software, I never installed the CD that came with it. It works very well without it. Option-scroll wheel zooms on the whole screen, the tilt wheel scrolls horizontally -- It simply works.

Jumpy After Sleep
Once this mouse gets going it's very smooth and accurate. However, when resuming mouse use after sitting unused for more than 10 seconds, the cursor jumps erratically across the screen as if it's waking up. Very annoying.I'm running a MacBook Pro 2.4 Ghz with Leopard.

I expected it to last longer.
I bought this unit about 3 years ago. It worked well while it lasted, but it died recently. I tried to connect a couple of different devices. Nothing would connect to it. It wouldn't identify on Bluetooth.

Overall good mouse, but a bit buggy with Mac OS
The Good:Wireless bluetooth connectivityA second mouse button and scroll wheel (unlike my old Apple mouse, which drove my fiancee crazy)Great price, approximately $30 less than the wireless Apple Mighty MouseThe Bad:After restarting the computer, sometimes it takes a while for the bluetooth to reconnect with the mouse, sometimes it cannot find the mouse altogether. This can get irritating...I'm not sure why it does this, but it wakes my iMac from sleep mode. I didn't have this problem when I had my old Apple wireless bluetooth mouse (one button), so I think there's some sort of compatibility issue.Overall:It's a good mouse, the above stated issues notwithstanding. It does everything I want it to do, but it also does some things I don't want it to do. 3 stars.

Better, easier, and less expensive than Apple Mighty Mouse (updated)
I wanted a full bluetooth keyboard/mouse set for my new Mac, but was extremely disappointed with Apple's own bluetooth mighty mouse. Their mouse bridges the left- and right-click buttons into one clickable face and relies on software-side analysis to determine whether you intended to click left or right. I found myself making too many accidental clicks because I tend to rest my fingers on both sides of the mouse. Their mouse is also terribly overpriced and less portable.I was hesitant to buy Logitech's V470 because some reviews indicated poor bluetooth performance. I can report that after a trouble-free pairing with my Mac's existing Bluetooth setting panel (As others said, do NOT load the Logitech software.), I had no issues. The mouse connects quickly and effortlessly when its nearby. Most people will want to tweak the mouse settings, specifically the rather disappointing scrollbar which does not move as well as some of Logitech's other products. But as with most computer accessories, you need to get used to the mouse's physical form and features. My hand fits very comfortable, and the size is perfect; not too big, not too small. Very travel friendly.I am using the mouse on a black laminate surface and found the tracking wasn't as smooth or quiet as when used with a mousepad. I can see battery life becoming an issue, but it's a price I'm willing to pay for short-range wireless products.[UPDATE] After switching to a wireless USB mouse, I can no longer recommend this mouse. Its Bluetooth performance is far inferior to Apple's Mighty Mouse and the performance and stellar battery life of the Logitech Wireless Marathon Mouse M705 with 3-Year Battery Life makes this mouse useless.

Sleek and Chic!
This mouse is great, the best Bluetooth mouse ever!Well to be fair, I never had another Bluetooth mouse. However, I did a lot of research before purchasing this product because I was debating between a USB wireless mouse and a Bluetooth mouse. Since I have a laptop with Bluetooth capability (Sony VGN-CR290), why not go for the one that has less to worry about and also not having to take up a USB link.I was worried since the reviews I read of other name brand Bluetooth mice had connection problems. Well this one doesn't! I installed the software, turned on the mouse and viola; it instantly worked, with great precision too. It hasn't dropped once, even through objects (under blanket). I should also mention I like the feature of the scrolling wheel. You can select different task instead of side scrolling (I like the option of forward/back instead).Overall, I definitely recommend this mouse, it's small but not uncomfortably small, well designed, has great precision, and connectivity too! A definite great buy.
