Literally plug and play for PC. Download clone hero, plug the guitar into your PC and your all set. The buttons are clicky and so is the strum bar (stum bar isnt gummy, its pretty clicky) One note: This takes AA batteries so there is a panel on the back for them, however, that is the same place the on/off switch is. So in order to turn the guitar on and off you have to take that panel on and off, and the batteries fall out and its pretty annoying. Sooooo I marked where the small switch is, took the panel to my workbench and drilled a dime sized hole into the cover.
