A grand romantic saga with sweeping scope and intimate focus, this drama is seen through the eyes of one strong-willed young woman, Charlie Matheson (Tracy Spiridakos), and her brother, Danny (Graham Rogers). When Danny is kidnapped by militia leaders for a darker purpose, Charlie must reconnect with her estranged uncle Miles (Billy Burke), a former marine, living a reclusive life. Together, with a rogue band of survivors, they set out to rescue Danny, overthrow the militia and ultimately re-establish the United States of America - all the while, exploring the mystery of why the power failed, and if (or how) it will ever return. ]]> desertcart.com Revolution paints a deep, troubling, and troubled picture of a world without electricity. The great blackout happens in the present, for reasons that no one seems to know. Then, Revolution flashes forward 15 years to the anarchic world left in the blackout's wake. The series has an incredible pedigree--its executive producer is J.J. Abrams ( Lost , Alias ); its creator is Eric Kripke ( Supernatural ); and the director of the pilot episode is Jon Favreau ( Iron Man ). And the drama is gripping and absolutely immediate. As the story deploys flashbacks and flash-forwards to try to explain what happened to the world's power--and why--humans quickly devolve into roving bands of militias and rebels. There's a strong female hero, à la The Hunger Games , Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos), on a quest to find the family she's been separated from. And there are other compelling characters, including Giancarlo Esposito ( Breaking Bad ), a militia leader seeking to consolidate power at virtually any cost. The atmosphere is foreboding, yet absolutely enthralling, and the viewer gets the sense that anything can happen; anyone, even a sympathetic main character, might die. Revolution , one might say, has the power. -- A.T. And as the title suggests, the Matheson family, especially Miles And Charlie, are rightfully the stars of the show. Heroes but also human. They are characters that you can actually enjoy, empathize with, and love. And there other characters that will surprise you from time to time. Very sad that Season 3 didn't happen, except as a comic book. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great concept, a bit slow bit definitly picks up. A must watch *by on Reviewed in the United States November 24, 2012* I figured erik krippke would have written this a little better or at least kept it a little more interesting. The concept is great yet the story itself is weak. Plus there is alot of bad acting and the story plot doesnt seem to be going anywhere. I had very high hopes for this show only to be let down. I want to see where its going but im not too excited or eager to watch on.Update: The show does get way better, i am really into it now. The storyline becomes really intricate and interesting, leaves you begging for more. A bit slow in the first season bit picks up after the seventh episode.i highly recommend it; just stick with it and you will not be disappointed. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Really Great old TV Series!!! *by on Reviewed in the United States August 22, 2023* Delivered on time and packaging was in really good shape.
