It is essential to provide reptiles and amphibians with the best source of water. Even tap water contains heavy metals and is chemically treated. The addition of chlorine removes bacteria and makes the water suitable for human consumption, but also destroys bacteria that are not harmful. These bacteria help break down organic remains in water, digest plant matter when consumed, and eliminate harmful bacteria. The range of action of these water conditioners is specifically designed to ensure pure water for reptiles and amphibians. SNAKE HANDLING & CATCHING TOOL The Exo Terra Snake Hook is designed to facilitate the handling of snakes and make it safer for both the snake and the handler. Some snakes have the ability to perceive heat and may become defensive or curious about hot body parts, such as hands and arms. The cold metal does not give off heat, making it less stressful for the snake and safer for the handler. The tip of the Exo Terra snake hook is rounded to prevent injury. When the Exo Terra Snake Hook is fully extended, the shaft locks into place to prevent rotation when lifting or holding the snake. A snake hook can be a useful tool for everyday tasks, such as removing snakes for terrarium maintenance or moving them to other feeding places. The snake hook can also be used to move terrarium ornaments without scaring reptiles. Pocket size, light weight and durable design make the Exo Terra Snake Hook ideal for traveling and catching wild snakes. In addition to safely handling snakes, the hook can also be used to move debris or pick up small rocks and logs. The Exo Terra Snake Hook also has a built-in hand strap so it can't be accidentally dropped or lost. Carefully place the snake hook in the middle area of the snake's body, or a little closer to the head, and lift it up carefully. Exo Terra has developed a line of food accessories to facilitate the intake of vegetables, foods in granulated form, insects and canned insects. Each accessory is designed to ensure maximum health and utility. They offer comfort to animals so that they can eat with complete peace of mind. These accessories help to keep the environment clean in the terrarium. ## Features - For monitoring terrarium temperature levels - Easy to read and install - Model number: 54411 ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Age Range Description | Adult | | Asin | B0002604WQ | | Best Sellers Rank | 5,458 in Pet Supplies (See Top 100 in Pet Supplies) 5 in Thermometers for Terrariums | | Brand | Exo Terra | | Colour | Blacks & Grays | | Country Of Origin | China | | Customer Reviews | 4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars (5,458) 4.3 out of 5 stars | | Display Type | Analog | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00015561224659 | | Immersion Depth | 1.7 Centimetres | | Included Components | Thermometer for Reptile Terrarium | | Indoor Outdoor Usage | Indoor | | Item Length | 1.7 Centimetres | | Item Type Name | Exo Terra Thermometer for Reptile Terrarium – Provides Temperatures in Both Celsius and Fahrenheit | | Item Weight | 20 g | | Manufacturer | Rolf C Hagen UK Ltd | | Manufacturer Part Number | PT2465 | | Model Name | Exo Terra PT2465 Dial Thermometer | | Model Number | PT2465 | | Outer Material | Plastic | | Power Source | Solar Powered | | Product Care Instructions | Wipe Clean | | Resolution | PT | | Response Time | 500 Milliseconds | | Reusability | Reusable | | Special Features | Dual Probe | | Style Name | Contemporary | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | | Upc | 015561224772 015561224659 | | Upper Temperature Rating | 50 Degrees Celsius | ## Product Details - **Age range (description):** Adult - **Brand:** Exo Terra - **Colour:** Blacks & Grays - **Display type:** Analog - **Included components:** Thermometer for Reptile Terrarium - **Outer material:** Plastic - **Power source:** Solar Powered - **Product care instructions:** Wipe Clean - **Special feature:** Dual Probe - **Unit count:** 1.0 count ## Images ![Exo Terra Dial Thermometer, Black & Gray - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61j2CDJK+BL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size Name** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Reliable, accurate, kind of ugly but who cares! *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 8 June 2025* I bought this analog thermometer originally meant for reptiles, but I’ve been using it to monitor temperature in my chick brooder and it works brilliantly. It’s accurate, easy to read at a glance, and doesn’t require batteries, which is a huge plus when you’re already juggling heat lamps, bedding, and feeders.Yes, it’s not exactly a design statement visually, it’s more “lizard cave chic” than cute farmhouse aesthetic- but it more than makes up for that in reliability. I’ve compared it to a digital probe and it tracks closely, giving me confidence that my chicks are staying in the right temperature zone.If you can get past the looks, this little gadget is a solid and affordable choice. In the end, the chicks don’t care what it looks like and honestly, neither do I anymore. Function over form, and this one delivers. Would definitely recommend for brooders or any small animal setup. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great display *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 25 June 2025* So far correct reading so I'm happy with it. Strong sticky back so its not going anywhere. Can easily see display even at the back of tank. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good Enough *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 2 May 2024* Good for what it is, but seems to measure the temp between it and the wall its attached to, so when measuring the temp in a vivarium like me it tells you little.I still have one but do not depend on it alone. If you wish to use one of these I would highly recommend a thermometer gun to keep track of key areas to ensure your reptile has adequate temps throughout its enclosure, and only depend on this for a "quick glance" ## Frequently Bought Together - Exo Terra Thermometer for Reptile Terrarium – Provides Temperatures in Both Celsius and Fahrenheit - Exo Terra Exo Terra Analog Hygrometer - Fluker's Calcium Reptile Supplement with added Vitamin D3, 4 oz. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.eg/products/47997151-exo-terra-dial-thermometer-black-and-gray](https://www.desertcart.com.eg/products/47997151-exo-terra-dial-thermometer-black-and-gray) --- *Product available on Desertcart Egypt* *Store origin: EG* *Last updated: 2026-10-05*
