This microscope has a tapered nose piece but the 64mm diameter ring went on in a suitable place and easy to secure using the the three mounting screws. I couldn't locate it in the orientation I wished to because the on/off switch was fouled by the microscope stand. However, putting it on the right side of the stand it works fine - just a bit more fiddly for a left-hander! Came with a fitting for standard 42mm parallel sided nose piece 'scopes. Good bright adjustable light. A cool light compared with the usual Schott swan-neck light source but that's not a problem for me. I still use the Schott for high power work and the two together work really well for this. Of the three images - first has the spot light effect of the Schott system, the second the AmScope LED and the third both. So far very pleased with it and hope it lasts. Review: Brilliant - literally. - Very bright, dimmable LED's. A huge improvement over the single LED that came with my microscope. A 48mm adapter ring is included and the ring light fits securely to this with 3 screws.
