With that out of the way, I discovered this by accident when, after getting back a pair of resoled boots, I noticed that the deep, unsightly nick, previously on one of the toe boxes (courtesy of a woman’s high heels, as is always the case), had been filled in (albeit somewhat crudely). After making an enquiry, I ordered this to finish the job – the nick was largely covered, but some more of this repair cream needed to be applied to finish the job. With the aid of an old plastic card and some nitrile gloves, I carefully applied the cream over the affected area and left it to dry. Half an hour later, using a cloth, I then applied some Saphir Medaille d'Or Pommadier cream over the same area, applying some firm pressure (and generating sufficient heat) as I went back and forth until the area felt level. Hours later, I returned to the boots and could no longer see even the slightest trace of where the nick used to be. That’s how effective this product is! So, in a nutshell, anyone who’s serious about their leather footwear needs to own at least one tube of this.
