Vaughan's portrayal of dirty politics, war, racism, and the complexities of love and loss is so powerful - more so in this volume than in any other - and yet still contains moments of comedy and lightness. The inclusivity and representation is also second to none (take note, DC and Marvel - this is how you do it). I still buy comics from the 'big guns' of publishing (G. Willow Wilson's Ms Marvel is a particular favourite), but the one series that has me pre-ordering the next volume every time is Saga. Izabel offers to scout for fuel, but her ghostly existence is ended by The March, a vicious Freelancer.
