Review: Amazing - This is amazing. I have always wanted a flight stick but could never afford one. Luckily for Christmas I got 75$ worth of desertcart credit. Although I do have one complaint. After I initially ordered it, I happened to be checking the item page reading through the description again 4 hours later and noticed it was on sale for 30$ less. That’s kind of crappy. Why would it randomly go on sale right after I order it for full price? Anyway I was able to cancel it and reorder it at the discounted price. On to the actual product. It works great, does everything it is supposed to do. The stick is very comfortable and the thrust handle feels pretty good too. My one and only gripe with the actual product is the thrust stick. It is way too loose. It only really stays in place when it is centered and the slightest touch will drop it full forward or backward. I honestly believe that they could have made a better assembly that stiffens the base of the stick. I noticed in many other reviews that their thrust stick doesn’t even stay in place at all, it just drops to one side or the other. Luckily mine isn’t that bad, it will still stay where I set it but only just barely. I had really wanted the PS4/5 version as no one here owns an Xboxone or otherwise only Ps5s. But no other T.flight HOTAS were affordable or even on sale. The one I wanted was over 120$ but if it were in sale like this one was for 30$ off of 90$ I would’ve been able to get it since 90$ is what I was originally going to pay for this one. Sucks and a real shame. Not entirely sure why this one was the only one that went on sale, and why it went on sale immediately after I initially ordered it 😅
Review: Amazing for Ace Combat / Star Wars Squadrons. Xbox One / Series X/S Works on PC too!! - Ordered two, one for myself and one for my best friend who loves flight simulator games as a birthday gift and took a little bit to make sure it was all set up and configured correctly at first and is still taking some getting used to as I haven't had a joystick in the better part of almost 20 years all the way back since my wingman days on PC, but thrustmaster has always made great joysticks or HOTAS setups. The throttle control in Ace Combat is amazing and all of the axis controls, targeting options, etc. are really perfect for games like that and the level of customization is unlike anything I've ever seen on previous joysticks that I've owned. I haven't had the opportunity to use it on PC yet and I don't own Microsoft flight simulator as I prefer like actual aerial combat dog fighting games however I have heard that it can be configured for several games involving space combat. Definitely makes a huge difference over using a regular controller... I really don't get what is up with all of the negative reviews that people have made about this flight stick but as far as I've seen it's great. It even comes with its own miniature Allen hex wrench to be able to securely screw the throttle base to the joystick base so you can have it as one giant unit like I do for either setting on a table or your lap while playing or you can also detach them depending on your preference although the wire connecting them is not detachable so it's wise to be mindful of that but overall it is an amazing flight stick and for people who've had issues using it with their XBox you have to make absolutely sure that you've turned off your controller and have the joystick itself plugged in via the USB port before you actually start the game even once you've got it loaded to make sure that the joystick is being recognized as your player one controller.

**Q: how does this stick work playing elite dangerous? any suggestions if this one isnt very good for the game?**
A: I own this T-flight HOTAS X by Thrustmaster and I play it on Elite Dangerous. It works very well, especially after you adjust the tension knob on the bottom to you liking. It has plenty of buttons to do what you need it to do, the biggest boon, it Elites keymapping to be able to press combo buttons for different effects.

**Q: Can you detach the throttle but still use it?  Say if I wanted to mount the throttle on the left arm of my chair, and the flight stick on the right?**
A: The throttle handle is designed for the left hand. Use it on the right and your thumb wont be able to access the buttons.

**Q: Does this have yaw control? As in, can you twist the stick clockwise/counterclockwise?**
A: In short, yes.  Long answer:  There are two options for yaw control.  The stick has twist functionality for yaw.  For a second option, there is a two way rocker/lever bar behind the throttle assembly (where the tips of your fingers rest).

**Q: Would this work on Star Citizen alpha?**
A: This is a great buy for Star Citizen's. One of the top reasons if not my number one reason for getting it. Tested and works great, surprisingly made well!

This is amazing. I have always wanted a flight stick but could never afford one. Luckily for Christmas I got 75$ worth of Amazon credit. Although I do have one complaint. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best HOTAS available for Xbox One.

It's the best because there's no competition. It's a 3-star stick but I give Thrustmaster an extra star for investing in developing this product for console players. I bought this to play Elite: Dangerous on Xbox One. (Yeah, whatever, PC is better but I can't afford that much computer on my salary.) If you own an Xbox One or the new Series, as far as I know, this is your only choice. That said, let's get into qualifications and a few things you should know. I grew up playing MFS2002, FSX, and CFS3 almost religiously. I used a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro for a few years, then the Saitek X52. I'm no stick jockey but I have some experience. This product is not quite up to those standards. Because of the limitations of playing on console, forget mapping a function to each key. Ain't happening. You'll have to make do with multiple functions for each button unlocked by holding a function button at the same time. You'll get used to it with time. Ergonomics are meh. Elite involves allot of rotation on the yaw axis, and I find that more often than not I'm bracing the first knuckle of my index finger just behind the trigger and gripping like a madman to maintain control. The stick itself is finely textured but not enough to grip. I bought nice grippy baseball gloves to help out. Some cloth tape or gaffers tape might help you out, but a rubber pad under the thumb and joints would be better. The throttle has a 50% detent for space sims, to account for forward and backward thrust. It's also built with spring pressure to 100% and 0% throttle. If you're buying this for a flight sim, keep that in mind. It's not made for setting the throttle at low RPM's for landing your Cessna in the grass at O'Hare airport or holding just shy of afterburners while you blaze toward the Grand Canyon in your F-18. Allot of folks have mentioned the axes wearing out over time. Mine was the roll axis, which made supercruising in Elite more like a 9-year-old Anakin Skywalker roleplay mini-game. ("I'll try spinning, that's a good trick!") Unfortunately, Xbox does not have a calibration feature, so I'm stuck yelling, "Now THIS is podracing!" while I unplug the controller repeatedly to try and reset it. Worse still, Elite has not added the exquisite N-1 to its repertoire of ships, so I have to use my imagination -- which sucks. Yeah, I tried disassembly. Based on the assembly, I'm guessing Thrustmaster really didn't want people nosing around inside their product. It's a pain in the butt. But whatever. You wanna play Elite? Buy this. Know what you're buying. It's not a top-of-the-line HOTAS but it's okay. Be prepared for the inevitable drifting in some direction. o7 Commanders.
