The book is a nice size with a good feeling cover. The page quality is good and the double spreads have a gutter down the middle to avoid distortion of the image, happens with some other publishers. The translators notes pages are very extensive, covering honorifics to slang to simply filling in the less car knowledgeable information about the cars and brand names seen. There are some glossy colour pages at the front of the book. All this provides the best possible way to read this new revised English translation of Initial D.Of course the content of Initial D itself is excellent. The nostalgic vibes of the setting, young characters and classic JDM cars is perfect.
