Is this a quick release head or not?** A: no, it's a 1/4" hex bit with a 1/4" square drive with detent ball. the hex end passes through the wratch. in other words you can take the whole bit out the part that looks like a quick release button is actually the bit you push it out with your thumb. Low back drag when using in tight spaces. The length seems to be just about perfect for most uses unless your in a confined space. Being able to use 1/4-In bits or a 1/4-in square drive with a regular socket is great. I get lots of leverage with this tool.
