However, you could probably bodge it by putting batteries in reverse. **Q: Is there any way to charge the batteries without removing them from the case? Say for instance, if the case was concealed.** A: In principle you could use the output cable but this us unwise since at normal charging rate the batteries in close proximity would overheat. **Q: Is it waterproof ?** A: The case has a tight fit cover with a slider switch but it would be a stretch to call it ´waterproof', splash proof more likely. It I was concerned about ingress of rain I would simplpy put it in a plastic bag or in plastic lunch box. **Q: Is it possible to get 12v output using nicad batteries?** A: As long as they are 1.5 volts per AA battery then you will get a 12 volt output with 8 of them. ## Frequently Bought Together - Digislider 12 volt power 8 AA battery holder case with 2.1mm x 5.5mm DC Plug and On/Off Switch 12V | for CCTV, DIY, Arduinos, motors, solenoids, LED strips (1 pack Fast Delivery) - Duracell Plus AA Batteries (12 Pack) - Alkaline 1.5V - Up To 100% Extra Life - Reliability For Everyday Devices - 0% Plastic Packaging - 10 Year Storage - LR6 MN1500 --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.eg/products/55713212-8-aa-battery-holder-12v-power-pack-with-dc-plug](https://www.desertcart.com.eg/products/55713212-8-aa-battery-holder-12v-power-pack-with-dc-plug) --- *Product available on Desertcart Egypt* *Store origin: EG* *Last updated: 2026-10-05*
