**Q: Would these work good for knife handles/scales?**
A: Yes and no. I often use pen blanks in knife scales. Takes a bit of work to match the thickness but they’re great for using as spacers in knife scales if you don’t want to sacrifice another scale by cutting it up for spacer pieces. Example: walnut/olive wood(pen blank)/walnut. Obviously you will have to do some cutting but one pen blank can usually be used in two sets of knife blanks. If you don’t care about grain continuity, you can also glue two pen blanks together and use as a handle for a hidden tang knife.

**Q: Are these Stabilised ?**
A: No and it is not needed. I turned them with sharp tools and they came out beautiful. I liked them so much, I ordered more.
