Works Great
We had to do some shifting to make this fit next to our refrigerator but for it's weight capacity it is light, and fits into a pretty tight space. We are using it regularly and haven't had any issue with it. I feel that it is sturdy under us and while we are at least 80lbs below the weight allotment but we are not small people yet we feel confident and secure on even the top step. I recommend this step ladder.

Best Foot Stool ever!
We just got our step stool, it is better quality than I thought! Thank you for selling this fantastic foot stool at such a low price, I will enjoy this little helper for many years, I needed one like this for more than 20 years! I love everything about it, it's lightweight, it has secure rubber grippers on the legs and nice wide, rubber tread steps, it folds easy and fits behind a door.

High quality build, unsure of the weight support
I am a heavy set person and it seems to support my weight. However I am leary of stepping up to the 3 step. When i do the metal seems to twist and shift and I am afraid it will not support my weight at the height. I weigh 325, so I am at its limit. It is pretty good otherwise...hopefully I can lose some weight and reach that 3rd step without worry.

Used & Damaged
The ladder came with scratches and a badly bent leg. The shipping box was in great shape so the put it in the box that way. The replacement also came scratched and with a missing plastic piece on the side. Both looked like they had been used based on the bottom of their feet and the treads. Otherwise, the ladder seemed great and light-weight, so we are disappointed it did not come in good shape.

Great step stool!
I shopped for a long time for a step stool that I would feel safe on. I am quite overweight and my husband is 6'4", 250 lbs. This stool is awesome. We have both used it several times since we got it and it feels very secure but is still very light weight. We just fold it up and stick it in the closet when we're done. Does not take up much space. So if you're afraid of standing on a chair to clean the top of your refrigerator, get this stool. You won't regret it.

terrible!
I was so glad to order this because I have Amazon Prime shipping, and it would arrive without my having to haul it out from a store. Well..... The item was packaged badly, came with deep scratches in the metal top, due to shipping staples going through the box and into the ladder. Also the bottoms of the legs bowed inward. Not sure if this is supposed to be like this because I couldn't find a picture good enough of the bottom of the legs. More importantly than shipping problems, though, I thought it felt flimsy. My husband had recently purchased a similar step ladder at a local hardware store with a lower weight limit. (200lbs). I put the two step-ladders next to each other and tested each one. I couldn't believe that I wasn't going to fall through the hailo one someday. I called the 800 # on the sticker on the item. A man answered, "Hello?" I was surprised he didn't answer more professionally. I asked if it was Hailo, he said it was. I explained why I was calling. I couldn't believe the weight rating on his step-ladder was 330lbs and it felt flimsy to me. I asked how they measured it to get the rating. I'm sorry I forget the # but he told me the standard they were measuring to. It was two letters and two numbers but I can't remember what they were. I googled it that day and did find documentation on that standard, but it wasn't useful to the consumer. The one thing I did like about this ladder that I didn't like about the one we are keeping is that the steps are quite deep. Bottom line is, if I hadn't sent it back due to the damage in shipping (packaging?), I would have sent it back due to what I perceived as a lack of sturdiness.
