I was looking on Amazon and came across fresh Tumeric. I ordered that and some galanagal.My order came in a few days and I am totally pleased with my purchase. I make my own spice mix and it tastes so amazing. All you need is the Tumeric, Galanagal, chillies (it's up to you the amount of heat you want in it. I use birds' eyes) and Garlic. I would advise wearing gloves while preparing the chillies and the Tumeric; unless you really want to have yellow fingers. Put everything in a food processor and blend them together. It will colour the food processor; but if you wash it at once it won't leave a smell. Once you've done that put the spices into a glass jar; cover with olive oil; make sure that the oil covers the spices (so that the air can't get at the spices. Replace the lid and put it in your fridge and forget it for about four days. Then it's ready for use. Keep topping up the oil to protect the spices.I will be ordering this again. The spice arrived the very next day, very fresh roots (which is the reason why I shall be ordering again), and they are keeping well in my fridge.
