Review: It’s as good as you’re going to get for now. 5 stars!! - Five years ago there was a company that made similar front/back camera cover phone cases. They didn’t keep up with the changing phone models fast enough though. Either Spy-fy wasn’t around back then, or they didn’t market their product. I would “google” every few months to see if another company had started making them, then suddenly Spy-fy finally popped up in my search. So prior to that , I had been ordering cheap $6.00 cases that only cover the back camera. This Spy-fy case is exactly like those cheap $6.00 cases, EXCEPT, it has this little 5 cent plastic piece that covers the front camera too. Will I pay $38 more for this nickel piece? Certainly! At least until there is a better option. This case is as good as you’re going to get for now. It’s actually a pretty good case for 12 pro max, with just a couple issues. Back camera cover surprisingly stays closed on its own at least 90% of the time. It kinda slightly clicks into closed position which is good. Once in awhile I’ll look down and it’s unexpectedly open, but rarely. Front camera case doesn’t flop open on its own or anything- which is great, but it does tend to come open just from regular use. Rule of thumb: when I pick up my phone to use it, I automatically check both camera covers. It gets to be so easy I can do it by feel and doesn’t add extra time. Just a good safety back up. Due to the outrageously high price and the slight problem with not always clicking into closed position, I would normally only give it 3-4 stars….if Spy-Fy had any competition.. The other companies have seemed to “drop out of the race” and Spy-Fy is just about the only show in town. For that reason alone, and the fact that I’ve been waiting 2 years for another company to resume making these front/back cover cases, I will give a 5 star. UPDATE JULY 2022: I had ordered a second case as a back up just in case the company goes out of business/ quits making the 12 pro max. Haven’t needed it yet. Yay! This case still works as well as it did almost a year ago. Everything working as described initially. I’m extremely pleased with this case. I’m very rough on phones, and this case has held up nicely. Update: Feb 2024. Still haven’t needed the back up case I purchased 2 years ago. Yay! This case is still working wonderfully. It seems to be improving with age if that’s possible. It seems to have kind of melded nicely with my phone. The slides never come open unexpectedly. It is very durable after 2 1/2 years of constant usage and dropping and hitting the phone. No complaints at all. This case is outlasting my phone itself! Lol. I give it a full 5 stars! I love this high tech company. Can’t wait to try their newest case when we upgrade to a 15 pro max.
Review: The Best Privacy Case on the Market - I found this case while looking for something that covers the front camera. My previous phone, I was able to use one of those slide camera covers along with my phone case and was happy with the privacy protection. With my new phone (iPhone 12 Pro), I wanted to see if i could find an all in one solution - front camera cover, rear camera cover, and protection from dropping the phone. Rear camera cover - clicking mechanism is solid and does not come lose in my pocket. Very simple to open with a finger while holding the phone to take a picture. 10/10 Phone protection - pretty standard for mid level protection. I'm not looking for bulky otterbox level protection so it's exactly what I wanted. Too afraid to do an actual drop test but based on build and looks, it looks like it should be able to withstand most accidental drops. 10/10 Front camera cover - a very small slip cover that is built into the case. When it's in place, it covers the front facing camera perfectly and can easily be flipped up when ready to take a selfie. The only drawback I have on the case is how easily the front camera cover will open when in my pocket. 9 times out of 10, it will not be covering the camera when I take it out of my pocket. There is no "click" mechanism like with the rear camera so it can easily go between open and closed while in your pocket. I rarely use my front facing camera so for me, I was able to solve this problem by jamming some air dry clay (I have an 8 year old, it always seems to be around) in the top camera cover so that it will stay closed while in my pocket. Very easily slips out when I need to take a pic and stays in place when I don't. It works and it doesn't bother me but I shouldn't need to do it. 7/10. Overall, this is a great phone case and I'm very happy with it. I think the price is a little high, $35 is a better price point, but happy to pay the premium as this is the only option on the market for me.

I found this case while looking for something that covers the front camera. My previous phone, I was able to use one of those slide camera covers along with my phone case and was happy with the privacy protection. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Second purchase, great product from great company

After almost three years I had to buy another case. The case itself still worked but the front area cracked and the lens cover wouldn’t stay on, which is the essence of this case. Unlike other “privacy” cases, this one also covers the front lens, which is important. But also important is the case actually works as a case as well. After many years and too many falls, it’s still holding strong. Which surprised me sometimes when I dropped it from much higher than I should have onto very hard surfaces. Also, the company is great with great customer service. At one point the front lens cover popped off and I lost it. I was surprised the company didn’t sell replacements so I wrote to them. Then they shipped me a couple spares!!! Also, this new product comes with spare front and rear lenses, so they’re really getting ahead of any potential problems. Unfortunately, I had to take one star off because the price seems a little high for what it is. It’s no longer a nee hot item, there are other options on the market. Regardless of the price, the company seems to stand by their product and isn’t a fly-by-night copycat company that will change its name and disappear when you need their help. This is my second buy and likely not my last (wish they could bring the price down a bit though)
