Review: Great value Dettol wipes - The Dettol wipe is a great way to clean surfaces and be able to discard after use. Its not the most environmentally friendly of solutions but it is useful to use when you can't get access to a washbasin. In light of the Covid-19 outbreak, i wanted a simple way to wipe down high touch surfaces like cabinet handles and door knobs. I also wipe down things like kitchen counters, taps and toilet seats. The wipe is nice and damp with Dettol disinfectant but is slightly smaller than you would expect. They don't foam and aren't as wet as some of the other wet wipes (such as ecotech Hand and surface disinfectant wipes.). They do however come in this massive 84 size pack which is great value. Whilst Dettol doesn't claim this kills Covid 19, it is a strain of coronavirus. The reason they can't say it kills it is because they haven't done required clinical testing to be able to claim that it definitively works. However testing has been done on Sars and Mers (i believe based on my research), and this clinically disinfects those types of Coronavirus/flu virus. As a result, they think that it is likely to be able to disinfect Covid-19 Coronavirus. I tend to believe this, and I would rather use something to disinfect than nothing at all!
Review: Makes keeping kitchen surfaces clean super easy - Bought this to try to encourage my housemates to keep the kitchen tidier by making it easier than using cif spray and a cloth. Just take a wipe, wipe the surface, bin it, done. Works great, and sooo much easier than using a cloth and spray. Especially for small touch up stuff.
