I hand wash mine for efficiency and it works really well, though the groves are a little harder to get at. The color is lovely and the material is sturdy. The one thing I would change is the lid seal. The rubber ring pops out easily from the lid during washing, and is tricky to put back in with the lid lip shaped as it is. However, it is only a hindrance during cleaning, and does not affect the use of the product at all. I might end up ordering a second color so I don’t have to wash it as often, I love it so much!!!! Review: This bento is not well made. Look at the updated review!!! - Size is ok. Couldn’t put anything oily because it’s not leakproof. After first use the rim rubber came off, had to adjust it every time. Also it’s not well secured so even if you packed something that won’t leak you still might find it scattered all over your bag after transport. I am updating my review and I’ll tell you why. Shortly after I wrote this review company contacted me and asked me to give my opinion on why I didn’t like the box. I gave them my honest opinion exactly as I wrote it in my review. They responded by telling me that they will send me a new updated version and indeed two days later the new box was on my doorstep. This box is definitely made better. Haven’t tried it yet but I’m changing my Review to five stars because I feel it takes a great company to do what they did. Without me even complaining about it to their customer service they cared and delivered. This gesture meant the world to me and I feel like they genuinely care about their product being better. It does state it is microwave safe however I noticed after a few uses, the plastic warped and it did not seal properly. I think this is better suited for food that doesn't need to be reheated.
