Review: Best in slot for amateur runners - After a bit of research I settled with this watch and it was a great choice. I use it mainly for running and it gives a plethora of data about every second of my sessions. It catches the GPS very quickly and without missing a beat so far. It's also very accurate when it comes to mapping and has a spot on heart rate sensor too. Quality of life feature is a straight-forward setup via the official Garmin app. Navigating the menu system with all the settings to manage takes a bit of getting used to but once all set, it doesn't require any further attention. It's a lightweight watch, significantly lighter than the one I replaced with this. Will see how durable it is, it's Garmin so I can safely assume it'll last long. Battery life is excellent, it really can do a 10 days cycle with activities between charges. Value for money, good quality watch with all the bells and whistles an amateur runner needs.
Review: Great watch, awesome screen. The wife loves. - Bought for my wife as she has started doing a lot more walking. Naturally she didn’t need to upgrade from her Forerunner 35 as that was “fine” but since having this one she hasn’t taken it off and reluctantly agrees that my choice on her upgrade was a good one…..and I mean reluctantly!! The watch is really good though. The Amoled screen is amazing, very bright and clear. A massive improvement over the 35 and my 245. The watch does everything and more that she needs. Coupled with the app the data is excellent and very detailed. This is all she will ever need and wouldn’t see the need to spend a lot more, this was exactly cheap but still a good price. The combination of using the buttons and the touch screen is good, giving options when using. Can certainly recommend this model, wouldn’t personally spend more as the Amoled screen was the priority when buying a new one. The charger lead is the same as my 245 so hopefully Garmin have worked out that the same chargers for these model of watches makes buyers happy… Sold the 35 to a happy buyer so all is good.

It catches the GPS very quickly and without missing a beat so far. It's also very accurate when it comes to mapping and has a spot on heart rate sensor too. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Better than battery draining Apple Watch!

Really happy with this, had an Apple Watch for years as part of the Apple ecosystem and tbh was sick of the notifications not just related to my phone. The battery life was a pain too having to charge up every day. The Garmin Forerunner 165 is an excellent smart fitness watch, focusing actually on the fitness, really like the sleep tracking and body battery features. Won’t be ever going back to Apple again!
