This stuff is great. It dries in 30 minutes and you can apply another coat. The Stew Mac shielding paint requires 24 hours of dry time before you can apply another coat. So it works great for one, and you can have the shielding finished in an hour and a half instead of 3 days. I’m not sure about the complaints of it being messy. I’ve never had a problem, and it’s not rocket science to put it on. Just use an arts and crafts paint brush. It’s water soluble so it will wipe right off of your finish with a rag and water. I started with my Epiphone Les Paul Junior Billie Joe Armstrong. I applied three coats to the pickup cavity. I didn't have time to do the control cavity yet. Application was easy. I cleaned the brush with water after each coat. That was nice! Once I reassembled the guitar, I tried it out. I did notice a small reduction in noise.
