There is no specific yarn brand - they just give you the thickness so you can use all sorts of colours and textures. There is a clear table explaining thicknesses with hook size and tensions. It is American so some translation is needed to convert their terms for stitches to UK's but there are charts readily available for this.An inspiring book of very simple patterns

So pleased I took other comments on board and bought this book. Soooo much more than just a cuffed shawl. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ BEST STYLED CAPE.

Translating into Tunisian crochet so that I don't have to keep turning my work. Have found this is easier than I thought it would be. It's a brilliant design and the other patterns in the book, although similar, are ones that I will definitely make. Only four stars because of the need to translate to Tunisian, I highly recommend.
