Found out about Global knives from an Anthony Bourdain book. Very sharp, light weight, and great quality. I could tell day one, i will have this set for many years to come. Definitely just buy a good quality knife sharpener and learn to use it correctly and this will be a life long kitchen knife set.

**Q: Is this dishwasher safe?**
A: You do not wash sharp high quality knifes in the dishwasher. Wash them for hand as you use them. Takes max 10 seconds and you save the sharpness longer.

**Q: I read these knives are so light that they don't do well slicing harder vegetables (such as sweet potatoes or butternut squash).  Is this true?**
A: I just chopped up two butternut squash this weekend - absolutely went through them like butter. I did not have to push hard to slice off the top and bottom with skin still attached.

**Q: what knives are in the set?**
A: This set is fantastic - I love it - Paring knife 8cm - utility knife 11cm-cooks knife 13cm- vegetable knife 14cm- cooks knife 20cm- bread knife serrated - 22cm-

Bought these for my boyfriend for Christmas. He loves to cook. After using these for the first time he hasn’t used another knife we’ve had ever since. Loves the sharpness, how thin he can slice different vegetables and meats. Allows him to present his creations in the way he sees fit beforehand to execute a visually appealing plate to complement his talents with creating a flavorful, healthy meal! Highly recommend this set!
