It was simple to hook up , the biggest part is getting the belt around the brass spindle, I got another turntable for Christmas and was a pain setting up, setting up the tone arm was very difficult. I finally had to put a couple coins on top of the needle to make the records play and once in a while the turntable, would stop turning in the middle of playing a record. Putting the needle on the tone arm was also a pain. so after having trouble with that one, I found this one on Amazon and I am very pleased with it so far.
