Some of the branches were 6" in diameter, and this tool worked perfectly. There was still plenty of battery power left when I was done for the evening, but I got a couple of extra batteries so I can just switch them out for larger jobs. I haven't tried it yet disconnected from the pole, but at least on the pole at full extension, this is an awesome tool. I got extra chainsaw also just in case, but may not need them for quite a while. Review: Works far better that I could have ever expected. - Fantastic value. I have been using this for almost a year and it as sharp as it was on day one. Cuts 6" limbs like butter. I had to learn to let the blade get up to full speed before trying to cut. The guard just broke and fell off during use,Guess i'll have to super glue it back.
