ULTRAFINO Stetson Outback Vented Mens Straw Panama Hat

I bought this hat to be used primarily as a Golf Hat. The Tennessee sun can get quite nasty in the summer time while on the course. The hat fit as I expected (7 3/8). It is light and does allow the breeze to flow freely through the crown. I'm planning a trip to Hawaii in October (for some Golf) and needed a light, airy, sun-blocking hat that didn't look like a swing-interfering sombrero. The chin strap is quite functional and secures the hat well on those breezy days. The only down side I can offer (4 Star Rating)is the lack of a wire in the brim. A Nit, I know but like any other hat, the brim shape is something you mold to your liking. This hat will take a revised shape but not like other Stetson models I own. I think you would be OK in buying this hat if you are looking for a distinctive look. The Up-Side... you won't burn your ears off.

Searching for my hat, I was confused as to whether or not it was the same as the Stetson Airway also sold on Amazon - it is not. I will not go into specific details about construction because there is another post which very adequately provides that information. I was mainly concerned with quality - which hat is visibly better looking has the best 'quality' feel and a better fit? This hat costs more than the Airway (almost double the cost) so, is it worth it??? Well, to me it is. How do I know? I located a local vendor that sells the Airway, paid them a visit and compared the two. They are NOT the same hat and my Outback from Ultrafino is a much better product. But is it worth almost twice the Airway price? Again, to me it is. I guess everybody will have to deal with that themselves.

Nice hat! I wear 7 5/8 and this hat is a little large. Probably could have gotten by easily with 7 1/2 maybe even 7 3/8. Spacers came with the hat although I haven't placed them in yet. Hat sets down within a hair or two of my ears as is. Still close enough though to serve my purpose of shielding ears, neck & forehead from too much sun when weed trimming, mowing and gardening.

Stetson hats are always top quality. This hat lives up to that reputation. I purchased it for sunny and warm days but wanted the air flow. It works great and is stylish.

I work with kindergarten kids. Spend time on blacktop and on the sidewalk in Fresno Ca. On Thursday and Friday it was 107 degrees I got the hat 2 days before the heat hit. The hat was not only COOL, but it worked BETTER, than I expected, I got 2 complements, and I've worn it twice. I love my Stetson hat thanks,God BLESS.

I give this product a zero rating because of a design flaw concerning the slide bead on the restraining strap. It will not stay in place which renders the wind strap useless. I contacted Ultrafina, the wholesaler, who passed the buck to Stetson. Stetson basically said 'to bad', we don't do replacements or returns. Nor would they offer a remedy I could employ that might correct the problem. Their callous and cavalier response was an insult. Avoid this manufacturer and wholeseller.

The hat arrived as pictured. The fit was a little large but the sizing strips sent with it fixed that. I wore it on a three day golf trip right out of the box and was great for hot humid south Georgia. Great quality this is my second hat of this style.

the hatband is too big for the hat and partially detached. I have contacted Ultrafino who said they would send a return shipping label, but that was a few days ago and they have not. The hat s nice and functional and fits, but I fear it will come apart or not last as long as it should
