I have a large turtle and his indoor winter enclosure is a tank and in between the heat lamp and the sunshine the water would turn green in less than a week. I was constantly draining it and refilling it and that's a problem with 75 gallons. But this filter system keeps the water crystal clear. Still it does Gunk up with his poop but I can siphon that out.
