It does stand up to a normal amount of rain quite well, but we had 5 days of deluge. When it stopped and the yard was sprayed, even the mosquitoes were gone for a few days...and NO ticks. it will only kill the bugs it is sprayed on, so it will not kill all mosquitoes, but it keeps the population down. It doesn't seem to have harmed any of the beneficial bugs like bees, wasps or my garden helpers. We spray it in the late evening when they are not out. It's also economical, depending on the size of your yard, you can get multiple applications. I love the smell and that is is pet safe. The white container displayed on the AMZN website has cedar oil AND lemongrass. I ordered the cedar oil and lemongrass product in the white container but as you can see from the photo, that's not what I received. I used the cedar oil in the blue container anyway because I desperately needed to get rid of the ant infestation in my yard. I'll give the product in the blue container 4 stars because it killed ALL the ants in my yard but not the ants on the porch, which is concrete. I'm going to re-order this item and hopefully receive the correct container. I used up the entire container.
