It can get a little complicated when you just want to "turn it on and listen to background music." My wife needed something simple to satisfy that requirement. And this unit does it in spades!Connectivity with this unit is a non-issue: turn it on, pair it with your device, and play--you do not need an app to get it up and running. The controls could not be more simple: there are six in all, but the volume, and maybe the bass and treble are all you will really need. And now there is the quality, WOW! The look and feel of quality on this unit is beyond ANYTHING that I have spent a mere $300.00 on!And that quality extends into the sound. Sound is so subjective that I am not even going to try to describe it, except to say that it is BIG, CLEAR, and DETAILED. I have never heard anything like this at this price point. We have a small house (1300sqft), and this thing fills it well. My wife loves it!Just a point that I must mention, but that in absolutely no-way reflects on the quality and value of this unit: they (Marshall) claims that this unit produces a wider sound stage than its predecessor. And while it might do just that, I have never heard the previous model for comparison.
